DAMIAN & CHARLOTTE HALL married for 11 years, teetotal, employed in child care, home owners but told by letter that Damian was too fat to adopt so Leeds Council would not continue to process the application until Damian lost weight. Well Damian is already losing his weight! Infact he has already lost (28lbs of as 13 March). Yet despite the significant progress made by Damian, the council have as yet declined to say when/if they will restart the adoption process. There are many criteria, aside from the BMI issue, that Damian and Charlotte need to fulfil to successfully adopt and I think that as Damian is very publically resolving his weight/BMI issues the council should match his enthusiasm by starting the adoption process now.
