Within the last few years we have seen the prices of our electricity soar out of control. After last year’s tragic explosion at the Moni power Station, the increases hit a record high. Unfortunately the Cypriot Government have decided the residences of Cyprus should pay for the re-build by hiking up the consumption charge of our much needed electricity. This petition needs to be signed by every EAC bill payer on the island in order to force the Monopolies Commission into action. The EAC is the only provider of electricity and so can dictate costs and price increases at any time without question.
