Many students in the summer Nursing Research class have expressed interest in curving the statistics quiz, which is worth 20% of the overall grade. Students have expressed the following: 1) The grade was not a true refection on student's ability in statistics. 2) The statistics quiz given for the nursing research class had unfair questions. 3) Particular answers were very difficult to find or not able to be found, even though it was an online/open-notes quiz. 4) The grades people received was not a true reflection of the course material that was taught. 5) Looking at how the majority of the class did on the quiz is more important than noticing just a small percentage of students who scored 100 on the quiz. If you believe the quiz should be curved, feel free to sign the petition for it to be presented to the dean.
