As of the moment, Curry College is mascot-less. This petition commends this choice and looks to the future for how we the students and staff wish to represent ourselves moving forward. We feel it is important to ground ourselves in the beautiful Blue Hills nature reservation area that surrounds our campus. That is why this petition suggests we become the Curry College Coyotes-- so we may be inspired by the dynamic nature of these creatures and our natural community. Coyotes are renowned for their intelligence, high adaptability, and close-knit packs. We feel that these traits represent our community, especially in light of our resilience through these difficult times. Go Coyotes!

I am honestly stunned by how many of you feel the same connection to this idea. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took a moment to show they care about our campus identity.

I support this initiative. I think we need a new mascot to represent everybody who makes up this community.
Cool idea you should do a school wide poll and set up a meeting with admin to get the ball rolling
we already are not the colonels! the school officially made us mascot-less for the time being. i hope that coyotes are a reasonable replacement to people!
And nothing pays homage to the Milton area like coyotes! (Except maybe turkeys, but nobody wants to be the Curry College Turkeys lol)
I'm not sure how to do a school-wide poll. Like where would I post that? But I will be going to the SGA meeting so hopefully that will help

I live this! Animals make way better mascots than people, and the southern heritage is the colonel hasn't got the school in a long time. I've also heard from students and families that they find the colonel alienating. So let's do something that pays homage to Milton, and would be a great mascot costume.
