I want to be able to send my daughter to PARKSIDE. We do not live in that district but that is where I have always planned on my kids going. I went there and my husband went there. I know all of the teachers there and know it's the perfect school for my family. Please reconsider this rule.

Any child should be able to attend any school of their/ their parents choice. If a parent wants to drive 30 minutes to an hour to take their kid(s) to school then I fully believe they should be able to. Yes, education is important for kids, but what about the parents? Think about the parents. By a parent sending their child to their school of choice, it may significantly help the parent out. If a parent is forced to send their child to a school that they have no choice to attend to, they may not be able to get their child to and from school due to work schedules. Bottom line parents should be able to send their children to whatever school they please. The school a child attends should not be defined by where their parents live!

Work with people. Most parents are good to help out the school when needed. Help us out.

We should not be forced to send our children to a school that causes hardship on our family.

I believe it should be parents choice on where there child gets their education. We pay our taxes. If you want them to have equal opportunities for students then it begins here.

denying my child public education is ubsured. It is impossible for me to get my child to the school she is zoned for. My only option is to hold her back and pray for change or quit my job.

We, as involved parents, should have the freedom of choice in the quality of education that our children receive. This end run by the Cullman County Board of Education, was made without the input of taxpayers, or parents. This new rule will affect numerous families, for which it will become logistically impossible to get their children to two schools at once. Think of the children!
