The CSX train station is located on Centerville Road in Wilmington Delaware. This train station is consistently violating State and Federal Law in adherence to county quiet hours, and crossing roadways. Federal and Delaware State mandates that any train crossing a roadway must do so within 10 minutes time. This CSX train station constantly blocks roadways for upwards of 90 minutes at one time. This happens numerous times a day without regard to time, or motorists ability to cross. We the people propose that CSX adhere to Federal and State regulations in accordance to amount of time blocking a roadway (no more than 1o minutes during the day, and no more than 15 minutes at night after 11:00pm). We also propose that the trains do not blow their horns during the Newcastle County's appointed quiet hours (after 10:00pm nightly). When attempting to discuss this issue with CSX, we were informed "we get fined daily, you complaining will not change our procedures". This person also refused to give their name, or allow the people to know who to contact about this concern. We the people are tired of not being heard on this matter.

I have been reviewing the experiences shared by those living near the Centerville Road crossing. The consistent disregard for state and federal regulations is unacceptable for our community. I am currently compiling documentation of these prolonged blockages to present to the relevant oversight authorities.

I get stuck here constantly picking up my kids from school. Its illegal to block the road that long and they just dont care because they have the money to pay the fines. Something needs to change.
This train is the worse! We need the lights before the train to warn us so we can turn around at a safe spot not in the middle of the road!

This train crossing should have a fixed schedule, so motorists will know ahead of time when this is going to happen. In this way drivers will be informed when to avoid the area. In addition, using an electronic billboard to inform the public of the train crossing schedule might help to solve the problem.
