Oppose the construction of a Concrete Plant on River Road

The area is developing nicely and is becoming more urban residential and restaurants, etc. Dont spoil the momentum as this can be a real growth engine for Louisville.

This is why I'll be voting against Greg Fischer in the next election and voting for whoever gets on the ballot and is a real Democrat. Fischer is a Democrat in name only. Between nonsense "economic development" projects such as this one and nonsense vanity projects like the "50,000 degrees" project to keep people like David Jones' wife busy, this city is a MESS. Jerry Abramson was a disaster and Fischer is nothing more than his boy. Most of the Abramson people are still running this city. I just read about all the "local leaders" who are sad to see Donna Hargens go. These people are not leaders. They just happen to have a lot of money and feel like that entitles them to set the agenda in this city. Every single one of these people: Greg Fischer, David Jones, Kent Oyler, Matt Bevin, Papa Johns, Christy Brown, etc., the whole lot of them need to be given a one way ticket across the bridge to Indiana. Socialism for the richest Louisvillians and capitalism for the rest -- that and a runaway opium epidemic that is the worst in the nation is the real legacy of Greg Fischer's Louisville.

This type of industry is inappropriate for River Road. Only buildings for offices or even the small manufacturing business would be appropriate. Nothing over 3 stories in height.

I fully support stopping Smyrna Concrete from building at this site. Completely inappropriate for the positive direction on the corridor.

I am opposed to the concrete plant. No matter what they do, there will be continuous dust/grit blowing around. Plan is to concrete all 14 acres. Won't help "heat island" and bad for run-off.

This section of scenic River Road has become a great place to work and live. A concrete plant would have a significant negative impact.

Keep the area around the Botanical Garden green.

That's not the place for another dust-generating, industrial-era eyesore. Move it farther away from the city, please.

River Rd is looking better than ever! Let's not take a giant step back and approve any new industrial use for this recreational and residential area!

Dirty industry like this will hurt our fair city's river and ultimately, our tourism and economy. Not a smart move.

Do not build the concrete plant

I'm opposed to the concrete plant proposal on River Road! It's a scenic by way and more concrete trucks means more danger for cyclists and pedestrians. Plus the messy residue these trucks leave in the street is very ugly and unhealthy.

Please stop the concrete plant on river road. Our city needs another concrete business but NOT on River Road where it would disrupt a tourist attraction and fine dining on the river.

This is NOT the kind of development our scenic River Road needs. I am 100% opposed to this plant being constructed at this location. Susan Ward, 40059

You can put the concrete plant anywhere, it doesn't need to be in a specific place. There are enough empty industrial lots in Louisville for something like this
