Iain Duncan Smith MP, please reconsider reforms to the CSA which will disadvantage single parent families
Dear Iain Duncan Smith MP
We the undersigned are concerned about the forthcoming changes to the CSA and feel that the proposed charges to receive maintenance payments will adversely affect resident single parents and their children, a group who are already vulnerable.
We note that fees are waived for victims of domestic violence but this is not enough, we call for either fees to be cancelled or transferred wholly to the party whose refusal to pay has resulted in the CSAs involvement

I really thought this might just be a small thing that drifted away but the momentum lately has been honestly pretty startling. It feels like people are finally seeing how these charges impact real families and I keep reading the comments to remind myself that we are actually in this together.

DISGUSTED. Fees should only be paid by the deadbeat dads who dont pay a penny until the government forces them to. stop targeting the ones doing the right thing.
ridiculous. my sister struggles every single month and this will just make her situation impossible.
single parents have it hard enough already. stop punishing the kids for being caught in the middle of this mess.
The system is already broken. Adding more charges is just going to make people give up on getting the money they are owed. Sort it out IDS.
Total joke. They cant even get the payments right half the time and now they want to charge us for it. leave single parents alone.

Why should the person taking care of the kids have to pay to get the money they need to feed them? makes zero sense.
