As a resident of the Town of Hollis, NH, I agree that the town of Hollis should consider creating a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. CERT programs educate people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. Using their training, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event and can take a more active role in preparing their community.

I was a certified EMT in Massachusetts and was also involved in CERT there. I would be happy to help here in Hollis where I now live.

Ian Riddell, 10 Colburn Lane. I would be happy to facilitate/coordinate bringing a CERT program to Hollis. I was a volunteer paramedic in NY in the past, and am a substitute nurse in the Hollis Brookline Schools. I wish to be involved in my towns Emergency Preparedness.

Great idea. I know the town of Pelham does this.

This is a no-brainer. We want to help our neighbors, just need a way to organize these efforts. Please get this done.
