The Land north of Station Road, Cramlington, is the green heart of our town, but it has an industrial heritage, the development may cause stythe gas to be vented into local housing, which can cause death. There are also concerns about how water that will run off the site and how this may affect the Northburn Estates near the burn and the increase flood risk. To compare the site size, it will be the same size as all the Parkside Estates, Nelson Village and Westwood combined. Part of the development also includes shops at a time when the shops in Manor Walks are empty, seven football pitches with flood lights which will be between Westwood and Parkside and will impact parking on local streets, as well as litter. This petition is part of the Cramlington Save our Spaces or Cramlington SOS Campaign; Unfortunately the Town Council which is meant to listen to local opinion has an agreement to work in partnership with Persimmons homes and is supporting this development. This petition is to show the depth of public opinion against the development.
