I cannot see why people would object. If/when the license is granted the court will set out times of opening etc that will ensure local residents are not disturbed.

I am a local business owner and do not see it as necessary to block other people from starting their own businesses in Reigate

An excellent proposal for Reigate. From my experience, these real ale shops flourish and will be a welcome addition to West Street. We have enough coffee, card and charity shops so good to have an enterprising new business setting up. I fully support the application.

This is a time when the council should be supporting a truly local independent and interesting enterprise. It is aimed at upmarket connoisseurs not young boys in hoodies. I fully support diversity and independent retailers to that will encourage new visitors to Reigate

The local beer shop in Oxted has been a real success for the town, something new, diverse and local. A balance to set against national stores and help maintain the unique blend that Reigate has become known for.

I write in support of the licence for the proposed Four Hops unit in West Street: This is an enterprising proposal by local people, which will provide an independant retail outlet and hopefully attract footfall to a partof the town that has sufferd the loss of two local businesses over he past year, A diverse and interesting use.

I think those objecting probably have the wrong impression about this shop. The beers will be far too expensive for anyone to get drunk, right? :-)

This sounds like an interesting and innovative project which would help the diversification of Reigate High Street.

I think this is something new and innovative for Reigate which should be warmly welcomed and and supported. We need more entrepreneurs and diverse businesses to enhance our Town and this will be a very good attraction.

I was thrilled to hear that a vacant unit would be used and for something so positive for the area! I support a local business that will offer something unique to the Reigate High Street! As like others have commented, Dorking has a very popular craft ale shop, with respectful clientele. I very much look forward to becoming a regular at Four Hops - Good Luck Martin!

A small time business man bringing something different to reigate. Nice to see someone investing in the high street and bringing culture to it. Its not the case of get your 6 pack here it is about informing people of how beer is brewed and how different each one can be. I am sure a wine shop would of been ok but when beer is mentioned people think thugs. Pubs are closing people are socialising less, lets bring back the good old days of how we used to socialise.
