Four Hops is the little craft beer shop at the foot of the chalk hills. We aim to be the go to place for all things beer related from bottles to cans, to merchandise, to tasting events to take out.
We hope to open our shop at 12 West Street, Reigate in May. Our premises licence has been objected by some local residents and our hearing is set for the 27th March. We have also applied for 'change of use' so our customers can taste beer within the shop.

Preparing for the upcoming hearing has required a great deal of focus on the specific planning requirements for West Street. While the formal objection process is challenging, hearing from so many people who envision this shop as a positive addition to the community has been a steady source of encouragement.

As a fellow Reigate shop owner (Dish Ceramics Studio) I would welcome another independant business which will be a fantastic asset to the town and bring in more trade from further a field
We have great independant wine shops that offer tastings, so why not a similar offering for beer. Plus another indipendant to retain Reigates uniqueness. A shop of interest rather than the dull offerings from multi-nationals that dominate the town and a draw to this often forgotten area. Great idea
I hope this works out for you guys. These Craft Beer Shops are a world away from the old-fashioned Off Licence. They are not bland, stack em' high sell em' cheap, shops, they stock premium products made/bought/sold by passionate people. A great addition to any high street. Good Luck with the hearing.
Living in the area myself - West Reigate - I think this is a great idea and a good use for an empty shop. Hopefully with it's limited opening hours and more discerning clientele this shouldn't be a concern for the local residents - not that there are many in the direct vicinity
I don't think visitors to your shop would be noisy or inconsiderate, I would be happy to have you as my neighbour so I sign this petition on that basis. Good luck and if you are successful we will become customers as we often pop into the beer boutique in Dorking and buy a few of their interesting bottles.

Suggest any nimby's visit Cobbetts in Dorking, which i believe has a very similar format to that planned for 4 hops. It has to be the most well bahaved, respectful drinking crowd anywhere in Surrey. 4 hops would add hugely to the local area and detract nothing.
