I have been glued to my inbox waiting for some kind of acknowledgement from the department but the silence is honestly deafening right now. Some of you have been reaching out with your own stories about feeling unsafe on campus and reading those makes me realize we are definitely doing the right thing by speaking up.

I really did not think people would jump on this so fast because honestly my head was just spinning with all these exam rumors but seeing the momentum just makes me feel like maybe we actually have a shot at changing things. My phone has been buzzing non-stop and it is honestly wild to see that so many of you are feeling the same level of stress about heading back into those rooms during a spike.

my mom is high risk and i live with her so im not taking any chances going back to campus just for exams when we can do this online
My grandfather has cancer in his lungs, shoulder, liver, hips and legs ( busy with his second chemo treatment period ). I do not want to risk infecting him and we are trying to spend as much time with him as possible.
Gauteng is where the biggest risk is. I prefer staying safe

PRETORIA IS A HOTSPOT RIGHT NOW. why are they forcing us to go there?? this is so dangerous
