The Matrics raised their concerns about the other grades returning, but they are returning nonetheless. Let's hope that this petition shows the people in charge that we are genuinely concerned for our safety, and the safety of our families whom we will be returning to at the end of the term.
When the Matrics returned, it was necessary as we had assessments that were required by the IEB, the other grades do not have these requirements. It is our responsibility to help flatten the curve. By bringing together hundreds of people from all over the country, and then sending them back home after a short week and a half, we are creating the potential to drastically spread the disease. Let's not do that. Online school for an extra week and a half is a worthy sacrifice compared to the potential deaths of thousands of people which could be the consequence of sending the boys back.

The feedback coming from families who are anxious about these potential health risks has been consistent and sobering. I am currently compiling these gathered concerns to present them formally to the administration during our upcoming meeting. Your willingness to put collective safety above convenience is what sustains this effort.

Seeing this level of engagement confirms that our collective anxiety regarding school reopening is shared by many. This momentum shows that people prioritize public health over the convenience of a traditional classroom return. We are now in a stronger position to ask for a reconsideration of these policies.

Keep them home. My parents are high risk and i dont want to bring anything back to the house for no reason
The numbers are still going up why are we acting like everything is fine just keep doing online stuff its worked so far

I feeling going back to what is only going to be 10 day of school is unnecessary. I feel the risks out weighs any good that can come from this.
For such a short period of time to come back for the dangers that come with it is a big risk

its honestly just not worth it for 2 weeks of class only for everyone to go home and spread it to their whole fam
