The WTC Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program CLAIMS TO offer a variety of services related to the health of 9/11 responders, including : Medical monitoring, Disease tracking, Free and confidential medical and mental health treatment for WTC-covered conditions. Free treatment is available to 9/11 responders who suffer from WTC-covered illnesses, including both medical or physical conditions and mental health conditions.
Yet when you are diagnosed with cancer, you receive a letter stating that they do not cover Cancer and other serious illnesses. How can you say you offer coverage and deny a victim coverage because they got cancer or another serious illness from being down in the hole and helping at that tragic event. Volunteers offered there time away from their own families to help other families and now they are being denied coverage. How is that fair? All victims and responders should receive the same benefits. Its not fair and the public needs to be aware of this.
This petition is to get the World Trade Center to stop thinking about money and politics and start thinking about families and the lives their decision has affected. If you believe that everyone should receive the benefits they deserve then please pass this on to as many people as you can for them to sign.
Refining our goal of 250 signatures is necessary to ensure the administrators of this program acknowledge the urgency of our request. Please circulate this petition within your networks to help us reach this threshold quickly.

My uncle was there. He worked till his hands bled. He deserves better than this treatment. Do the right thing for once.

These people were down there breathing that toxic dust while the rest of us were hiding. Now they get cancer and get told to bad? Disgraceful.

Spent 2 weeks down there as a volunteer and now I have to fight the system for basic meds. Its a slap in the face to everyone who went.

This is just plain wrong. How do they sleep at night knowing these poor people are sick because of what they did?

UNBELIEVABLE. They promised to take care of our heroes and now they are just pulling the rug out from under them.
