The assignment sheet itself was very vague, this left to an open ended assignment which when emailing or meeting the lecturer to try and clarify what is needed we were given open ended answers. This is something that is done in many assignments to a point, although when the overall concept of the site that is asked for is met using different techniques results in a poor mark this is where the open ended part of the assignment leads to unfair coursework.
The lectures themselves were very fast paced for such a advanced topic, especially as real world examples weren't used therefore it was harder to relate to our sites to existing sites, Parts of the lectures such as saving and opening data from a text file is also a very out-dated way of web development leading to difficulty in finding online resources for help in learning about the said topic.
Other issues such as receiving the example code many days after the lecture on that subject, poor teaching materials which are hard to revise/refer to and more...
By signing this petition you agree that the assignment and results should be reviewed with an outcome of having the opportunity to redo the coursework uncapped with a better assignment brief or the coursework being scrapped and the 20% being added onto the overall value of the exam.

I have been reading through your individual experiences with the BB5104 course and the frustration is clearly universal. Some of you have reached out with specific examples of the poor guidance we received and that information is essential for our next steps. I am currently compiling these accounts to present a formal case for an appeal.

The lectures were impossible to follow and we never got help when we actually needed it. The marking criteria made zero sense compared to what we were taught.

Ridiculous grading for a module that was basically a mess from day one. None of the examples helped us at all.
