When used cooking oil is disposed in the sink many people have no idea of the harm they are causing to the environment.
It can cause blockages in the plumbing system increasing the costs of water treatment and contaminates water. One litre of cooking oil can contaminate up to 1 million litres of water. You can help to avoid this.
This petition is to ask the council to create disposal cooking oil locations in Perth and help with a campaign showing the population how easy it is to store and dispose the cooking oil properly.
The cooking oil collected can be transformed into biodiesel. So join in and sign the petition! You will be protecting the environment and will be contributing to a better future.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained lately. This movement belongs entirely to the people who took the time to care about our water supply. Your commitment to a cleaner future is the only reason we are being noticed.

My kitchen sink clogs all the time because of this. We need somewhere close to drop it off instead of just dumping it in the bin like everyone else does.
Great idea. Biodiesel is the way to go. Why are we wasting this stuff?
