Plastic does not break down easily. It can stay in the environment for hundreds of years. Animals often mistake plastic for food, which can injure or kill them. Plastic pollution also affects our water, air, and soil.
We are asking our community leaders, businesses, and residents to take action to reduce plastic waste. This includes using fewer single-use plastics, encouraging reusable bags and bottles, and supporting eco-friendly alternatives.
Small changes can make a big difference. By working together, we can protect our environment and create a cleaner, healthier future for everyone.
