The Community Free Clinic and our Cabarrus County
healthcare safety net are at serious risk of losing sustainability
due to proposed funding cuts to NC HealthNet funding in the Governor's proposed
budget for SFY 2015-16. These cuts would mean NO continued support of our
county's (along with MANY other NC counties') healthcare safety net effective
06/30/2015 for the low income uninsured residents diagnosed with chronic health
conditions.
This would mean NO access to needed healthcare services,
prescribed medications, and no medical homes for this vulnerable population
EXCEPT our local emergency departments.
YOUR ACTION IS NEEDED AND REQUESTED to advocate
for NO HealthNet funding cuts in our NC legislature.
Thank you for helping us continue to Keep People Healthy
in Cabarrus County!

Free Clinics are essential to the health & healthcare of the people of NC that remain uninsured. Without the free clinics in NC, many of our citizens will be WITHOUT health care. PLease KEEP the free clinics funded. Prevention & early intervention is less expensive than trying to treat chronic, long term medical issues. Thank you.
