Any conservation area ought to take into account the warehouse area to the west of Old York Road which will likely become residental in the years ahead. This ought to stay low rise in keeping with the Tonsleys

Please protect the neighbourhood from more developments like the Homebase site as it will destroy the charm and demand of the properties in the Tonsleys which is full of families.

I agree area is overcrowded as it is pressure on train station and local transport

Sadiq Khan does not deserve to be Mayor of London after this overruling

Wandsworth Council knows best, we do NOT want this tower with more empty flats like the Playground, with more cars and not enough public transport. What's the point in having thousands more people and no amenities?

The amount of building in WWT is utterly ridiculous. The station cannot handle the current number of people, despite the RAM no having opened yet.

This politically motivated interference in local planning is inappropriate and unwanted. Of Khan wants a 17 storey blight on the landscape, and in Wandsworth, why not put it in Tooting?

I strongly believe that the Wandsworth Town area should be granted conservation status, have felt so for a long time. Local democracy been ignored, Sadiq Khan having overridden the decision of the Wandsworth Council to refuse the application for the Homebase development. This historical residential area needs to be protected from any further invasion.

I completely object to this new high rise tower in my neighbourhood. It will ruin the appearance of the area, and besides the infrastructure in Wandsworth Town e.g. train station cannot cope with current levels of people.

I feel very strongly against Mayor overruling local council - terrible misuse of power - and everyone knows from vast research that sky high towers do not instil a sense of local community or care

The London Mayor has too much power to overrule local decision making and local democracy. The Mayor kowtows to city financial interests and developers . Boris allowed the development which partly obscures the protected, ancient view of St Paul's from Richmond Park.

The Mayor's scheme was rejected by Wandsworth Council because it was completely out of character and proportion with the existing area. Traffic in the area is already a massive problem and such a high density development would exacerbate the problem further. The architecture of the existing area needs protecting. It is entirely wrong for the Mayor to attempt to bulldoze through a plan that has been twice rejected after careful consideration by Wandsworth Council. This is attempted dictatorship!
