Given the continual development of new flats, it would be good to have a discussion as to whether the Tonsleys should become a conservation area.

Old York 3rd and Tonsleys area deserves conservation protection. They are intrinsically London and loved by local people as evidenced by the number of owner occupiers and visitors enjoying the area unlike the ghost town around the empty flats built along the river. Get people yo live in those before building more.

A storey block of flats is wholly inappropriate for this area and does nothing to help the lack of low cost/social housing for families in the area.

There is very limited parking and space around Old York Rd and the area is very busy as it is. Also it is nearly impossible to get on a train in the mornings at Wandsworth Town - how can we cope with yet more people trying?

Tall towers like this are not good for anyone. Please reconsider with a better plan.

Sadiq Khan should not be Mayor

I objected to the Homebase Tower for several reasons and the London mayor has got it completely wrong to allow such a huge building. I totally support the Conservation Area.

It is disgraceful that the Mayor of London should overrule Wandsworth Council on such a momentous issue in such a sensitive area. We must protect ourselves against a repeat.

How is the mayor allowed to overrule the local council?

I fully support this petition. What is happening in this area is horrendous, the entire area is being swamped by high rise housing without any improvements in public transport, which is already overstretched. We are losing the ‘character’ of the area completely by having all this extra high rise developments.

STOP ruining Wandsworth. The character of a lovely area of London is being ruined by greedy, money-grabbing developers and those that authorise it. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We are being choked!!

We already ahve B&Q going.... and huge residential going there..... come on Wandsworth Council... we will not be able to move soon.

The Tonsley village of Victorian cottages needs protection from dominating disproportionate high rise developments now and in the future.

V good idea. Sadiq Khan is over ruling every council. Can we also increase the number of "affordable houses" in each development?

A 17 storey tower block is out of keeping with Wandsworth town, will block out the light and Wandsworth town does not have the infrastructure to support all these additional households.
