Jimmy Connors defined what the US Open is all about. His energy, shotmaking skills, sheer determination, and all around love for the game has made the US Open what it is today. He deserves a stadium in his name, and with the new Grandstand Stadium being built for the 2016 tournament, now would be the perfect time to give Jimmy what he has always deserved!

The suits at the USTA are ignoring us because they think we will just go away quietly. They are dead wrong if they think they can erase the history of the game without a fight.

This would be a nice gesture to a player that changed the way people looked at tennis as well as someone who did so much for the US Open.

His name is synonymous with the US Open. He was the first men's winner at Flushing Meadow. His '91 against-all-the-odds run has transcended even his five titles in popular memory. For all these reasons, he is legendary. But, above all of that, he connected with the US Open crowd more than any other player in history.

No one athlete can be identified with a single event as Jimmy is with the US Open. The man won here five times on three different surfaces yet is best remembered for the event he did not win: the '91 Open that raised the kind of excitement and emotion not seen before or since.

Connors IS tennis, still after all these years and it's unbelievable for me that her doesn't have his name attached to a stadium in the tournament he won 5 times and the incredible run in 1991 when he at 39 years of age astounded the world by reaching the semifinals showing a fighting spirit that brought a whole world on its feet

I think the stadiums names or venues, arenas , should be aim to those people who are unknown and are suffering in this life, people in the streets, people with diseases, people who nobody cares the only one who cares and love these people a lot is GOD. I would ask to Jimmy Connors, with all my respects, that give the name of the stadium granstand to those people and put a commemorative paragraph for them.
