Kenny “Coach” Paulus is a man who has given many successful years to SVHS, their football program, his community, and his country. He is a man that is admired and respected by young and old alike. He serves as a great inspiration and role model to our community and others and we can think of no better way to thank him than to have the SVHS football field/stadium named in his honor.

Made me parallel park in the middle of town at lunch time!!!! Loved that peanut!!!
I had the honor of playing football under Coach at Chester. Awesome man and he deserves recognition!
Coach Paulus is a wonderful man! He coached football at Chester, IL when I was in high school. He was very well respected & liked. He always loved calling the students "Peanut". What a great honor this would be for him.
Can't think of a better man that serves this honor. He is an amazing man with a humble heart, and a great role model,
Coach Paulus was a great teacher and coach for Chester High School's Class of 1973 and many other classes. He is a winner!

Coach and family were my neighbors as I was growing up. Great guy always playing baseball in his back yard with ALL the neighborhood kids. I remember once saying s$&t when I missed the ball. He did not allow bad language or poor sportsmanship of any kind. He stopped the game pulled me aside and explained it was just a game and not to use bad language, it was unbecoming and really didn't help matters. He never allowed bullying and everyone treated fairly. That is why I respect him to this day.
