I for one know about the struggles a compulsive gambler has in his life. we always put barriers in place to prevent us going back to the old life we had. yet bookmakers still let you in their shops when you are banned for 5 years. people come into the shops looking for help, in desperate need.how are the staff meant to know who is and who isn.t as the staff always change shops or shifts, making it easier for the gambler to avoid staff that he or she knows. with this petition, I would like to change the system and get a card in place for each bookmaker or some sort of universal card for all bookmakers. so customers details with a picture are logged online so if the self excluded gambler wanted to a place a bet he/she couldn't. I believe this would help vast majority of people in the long run.
