We the undersigned wish to make it known that our work was disrupted by excessive and prolonged noise pollution from an Exeter Alumni outdoor hockey event held on Wednesday 25th February. During this event, a P.A. system broadcasted music, sound effects and commentary for most of the afternoon, at what we consider to be an unreasonably high volume.
Whilst we support the University of Exeter's diverse and impressive range of sporting activities, in future we request that such events are either:
a) constrained to reasonable broadcasting volumes
OR
b) held outside office hours.
In addition, fore-warning of such events for staff working in buildings adjacent to the sports pitches would be appreciated so that we can plan our work accordingly.
