I have been spending my mornings at the center lately and the fear among the regulars is palpable. My own family relies on these doors staying open for our daily routine so I am meeting with council representatives soon to press them on their plans.

Seeing this much support for our community space shows how much the Muirhead Activity Centre actually matters to us. This momentum proves that the people of Troon are not willing to lose the heart of our neighborhood without a real fight.

Muirhead has nothing other than this activity centre for meetings and out of school activities. This is supposed to be the centre of Muirhead, for the people of Muirhead and I know how busy this centre is so the reduced opening hours are ridiculous.
Really? We have an obesity epidemic emerging and the solution is to cut back on sports facilities in a vulnerable area? Makes no sense at all.
i'm one of the mums who use muirhead activity centre on Saturday morning. I"m trying to get into shape after recently having a baby and the classes and times that fierce fitness offer are ideal for me with a young family. it would be a great shame for the centre to close in the mornings, i'm sure I speak for many of the mums who go to these classes for the same reasons u do.
Many health and fitness classes are held during the day at Muirhead Activity Centre, so how does reducing the opening hours fit with the Scottish Government's Strategic Objective for a Healthier Scotland?????
About to take my son to football at the Activity centre and know that the hall has full all day today as every week!!
Both of my children attend several parties a year. Before nursery attended football and in the holidays the club. Why with such a large community are you reducing one of our most important community spaces. What about DUNDONALD?
this facility MUST BE KEPT OIPEN for the local kids there is little enough for the kids to do in Troon

I just wonder who in SAC is responsible for making this decision and whether there was any consultation with intersted partys such as parents and sports group leaders
