I have been hearing from several families who feel that a communication board would fundamentally change how they spend their afternoons at the park. These personal stories reinforce why this project is a necessary step toward true inclusion for every member of our neighborhood.

Seeing this conversation grow confirms how much our community values true accessibility for all children at the park. This momentum shows that we are ready to move toward the next phase of presenting our proposal to the local housing authority.

100% support this!! This is a great idea to make parks more inclusive but also give kids another way to express how they feel without having to use words!
My son’s only form of communication is an AAC device/communication board. Having a communication board installed at the playgrounds would be monumental in helping him to connect with others and feel included in his community. Please consider installing these!
