Who controls the curricula controls our children's thoughts. Without freedom of thought, freedom of speech is moot. Our children are NOT empty shells to be stuffed with the facts & figures we choose for them, but people we are privileged to guide and motivate to live a good life, with purpose, meaning and a desire to join the community of thinkers. Children are here to learn, experience and most importantly, PLAY. These standards, along with the requisite tests are just a stagnant confining box for their minds. These tests cannot measure the warmth of their heart, the depth of their wonder, or the boundlessness of their creativity. We must let go of this inane quest to control and capture everything. Leave education in the hands of teachers and parents, with the ability to keep our children's education as diverse as our society must remain to thrive. Reject Common Core.

We must stand up for our children, we must not fail them with complacency, nor hinder their ability to choose their path by forcing them to be exposed to indoctrinating material. There is a new form of slavery on the horizon, we have been given proper warning, and now is the time to act. History as WE know it has the tendency to repeat itself over and over, it is time for us to make a stand against this perverted violation of our rights and future.

Any Federal oversight of public schools is just one foot in the door to complete curriculum control of all US Schools, public and private. Any Republican in office or seeking office that does not see this slept through their history courses or never took them.

WE have to keep our kids education control at our local level. We do not need or want Washington to run our schools. What works in a large metro area does not always work in a rural school.

We are dumbing the kids down. We aren't teaching to the kids, we are teaching to the tests. We need to raise the standards not lower them.

Important to stop CCSS for many reasons, data mining, lowering the bar for academics etc. Since the NGA and the CCSSO own and copyright the standards there is no state, local, or parental control with the CCSSO. Please stop the implementation of CCSS

Life is too complicated, Common Core makes it more complicated. Why not use the way we have been using for years. It was working
