Sen Rubio nailed it..Though Jeb Bush and John Kasich defend Common Core as mere recommendations, NO QUESTION these recommendations inevitably become law down the road, given Washington's obsession with control over all of us

Arne Duncan said that the best money he spent in Chicago was the money he spent to keep the schools open longer, Chicago leads the Nation in teen age murders! The Politicians have ruined the Family and now they want to devise a substitute for it.

This government was established by the people and for the people. So, parents and elected officials must be in agreement about how our children are educated.

Damaging the Minnesota school system like this will eventually destroy Minnesota's economy. Only a highly educated society will succeed.

I think its appalling that the Common Core standards are secretly using mass data collection against the parents and kids for immediate profiling. We're living in an age where digital technology is becoming an extended version of mass surveillance by the NSA, Homeland Security etc. Our children and grandchildren are not enemies of the state, nor price tags for corporate profits. As a taxpayer, I am against the Common Core standards because of the mass surveillance on the kids and parents.

This educational proposal is awful and as a student I find this so unreasonable knowing learning sometimes is already screwy. Keep this from happening please.

I don't need my kids being compared to all the other kids in our country. This is a terrible idea and we need to take back our schools and get the government out of our school districts!

Stop supporting the common core and sharing student data. Mandatory ACT testing should also be stopped.

I grew up in St. Paul and lived there until I joined the Army. I got out and found a job in Syracuse, NY. As bad as it is in NY, the fight against CC out here is making headway and turning a large group fighting. I would like to move back to MN, so fighting for my kids education where ever I go is what I'm about.

I feel these standards have a detrimental effect on kids ability to learn. They can't learn at their own pace and in ways that work for them. This sets them up for failure.

Don't teach to the test. Our children deserve to be taught through hands-on learning and play, not ridiculous standards that encourage schools to cut back on gym and recess so kids can spend even more time sitting silently at a desk.

I didn't realize until today MN had adopted Common Core in my school. My major oversight!!!! We need to stop this immediately.
