This was low...a classic bait and switch...if I remember correctly, the government offered each household a voucher to buy their own converter. I passed on mine because of Comcast's lies!!
Every year I have to battle with Comcast because they increase my rates and take away services. They are now charging for digital 2 adapters of which I only use 1. Makes me sick! They just removed half my programing and told me I was not supposed to be receiving it, I negotiated for my programing. Now I am being told I was never supposed to get it. Bait and Switch!!!!
Check out the salary of the CEO of Comcast. If THAT doesn't make you angry enough to cut off your service, I don't know what will. We all need to speak with our wallets and stop this greed. Comcast charging $1.99 per box per their millions of customers per month helps support the ridiculous salary of it's CEO. I am not against CEO's making a lot of money, but there comes a point when integrity is no longer a care in the face of greed. And Comcast has reached that point. They forced us to use these convertors and told us the first two were free. Their word is no good and we need to show them our word is GOOD and cut off their power by changing providers. There is competition, and we need to reward those that are trying.
I am a very loyal Comcast customer for many years, but THIS IS IT! Comcast has shown it's greed and lack of concern for their customes by FORCING us to put an additional device on every TV in the house. I normally tell people how Comcast is good, but now I am GOING OUT OF MY WAY to tell them about this blatant ripoff. I may not be their biggest customer, but I will be one of the loudest.
Items which I were told would be free are now being charged. They "found" a billing mistake and started charging me for even more items. I don't believe there ever was a billing mistake except for them overcharging me periodically.
CRAP box not worth paying per month.
Customer service came up with the old BS song and dance routine,I have been lied too.to many times time to drop them

How can comcast give you two digital adapters free and then years later start charging you for them? This is an unethical business practice and must be against the law. I cant imagine that with all the laws we have in place to protect the consumer that they could acually get away with stealing money from their customers. This needs to brought to the Attourney Generals attention and I for one will be doing just that.
