Colton, OH Post office established in 1856 is
petitioning the Toledo, Oh Main post office, Postmaster General Patrick
Donahoe and the Postal Regulatory Commission. This petition asks the stated
parties to reconsider closing the Colton, OH Post Office. The Colton Post
office serves the rural area in the north-east part of Henry County. Most of
the residents in the area use this office instead of driving to Liberty
Center or Neapolis Post offices. There are also many people in this area that
do not drive or do not have a car who walk to the Colton Post Office for our
services. Many of the customers that come to the Colton Post Office are from
other counties that come to this office because of the ease of use and many
services we offers them. In addition anytime that any of the box-holders do
not come in to get their mail one of the Colton Post Office employees will go
to the home of the box holder and check to make sure they are ok.

The current post office was built in 2000 with modern technology that serves the community with fast, helpful and friendly service.
We the undersigned petition the the Toledo Main Post Office, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe and the Postal Regulatory Commission, to keep the Colton Ohio Post Office open.
