Petition Colquitt County Schools to Implement Mandatory Student Uniforms

The stories I have heard about the children HUMILIATED in front of their entire class are UNACCEPTABLE! I have seen what the children were wearing and BY NO MEANS, as a parent and a teacher, do I feel like they were inppropriate whatsoever! This misogynistic sexism needs to be stopped immediately by drafting and adopting a clear dress code IMMEDIATELY and replace next school year with a uniform policy if needed.

I agree with uniforms 1000%. I believe it will cut down the bullying and also help with cost of clothes especially for parents like myself that have more than two. Great idea!!!!

I only wish this policy could but put into place in the current school year as well. Sad that we, the parents, have to petition for such a simple thing.

As a parent I wish they had uniforms when my children were in school. Too often I could not afford the lastest style of clothes and my children would feel left out. This cuts out a lot of trying to keep with the "Jones".

I agree with the uniforms. I think Teachers should wear uniforms as well.

I am sick of our girls being targeted and pulled out of class because certain teachers fill clothes that are clearly acceptable and by code are not allowed. However our teachers and administration can wear what they want. Our children are missing class time and feeling bullied and self conscious of themselves.

I think it would be a great idea . To the fact you really can't buy jeans that don't come with the washed holes already in them . Being this is one of the dress codes. And it would also cut back on children being bullied at school .

Would be so convient and dresscode wouldn't be a problem and less bullying .

I have been saying that something like this needs to be out into place for a long while. I have seen so many kids get ridiculed and harassed on the daily because they didn't have the clothes that were "in" that year. It will save money for parents and save alot of kids from being bullied as much.

I believe this is a great idea. As a mother of a pre k student i worry about my child being bullied in the future. I think uniforms are great because no one can be picked on for what they are wearing because its all the same. I also think maybe fridays could be wear what you want day just so students could express themselves.
