8/8/21 I attended Colmar Elementary school in Bell Gardens California from Kindergarten to the fourth grade then the Bell Gardens high school took it over and then they moved it onto GAGE and Loveland it was Colmar Elementary for a while and then they switched over to Cesar Chavez which made absolutely no sense I don’t think he lived in Bell Gardens I don’t think he attended any of the schools in Bell Gardens neither did his children so why was it changed ?? Does anyone know why??

I thoroughly loved Colmar elementary when I was in my middle school days and to see that it changed years ago was very sad. I thoroughly loved Colmar elementary when I was a student there and to see that it changed years ago was very sad I agree to restore it back to its original name.

Chavez was married with 7-8 children but he Always had girlfriends by his side, many from what I read. Why would you want this named after him??? Do the research

Leave the old names alone. We have our history with bell gardens. A 1965 graduate.
