My mother worked there 32 years as a noon director/ playground supervisor. I also went to school there from kinder till 4th grade.

I too was saddened to see the school name changed. I feel like it erases our community history and dishonors the original name.

Went to third grade here, I was called Dean back then in 1966. Had a best friend Richard Ochoa. First girl I kissed on the monkey bars Linda Kurtis.

I went to the school from 1983 to 1989 under David Welch please change it back .the Colmar Cougar will roar again .rooooooaaaaaarrrrrrr

I met my first life long friend in Bell Gardens we went to live Oak then Colmar we tied our friendship after a fist fight with each other at Colmar play ground :) Best friend since 1966
