This petition is being used to make a statement against Cable and Internet Service Provider Cogeco. They run a monopolization over many cities, using their extreme revenue as a way to make sure that other companies can't settle in and start their own service, forcing families of four, all of whom use internet in their daily lives like mine, to choose them as their Phone, Internet, and Cable service, all the while imposing a 60Gigabyte bit limit on their internet service for their "standard package." This petition is to propose that they either: A) Increase the Bandwidth limit to 90 Gigabytes, B) Lower the cost of the Standard Package by twenty dollars a month Hopefully we can amass a threatening number of signatures that Cogeco will do the right thing and make internet more affordable.

Updates

The feedback regarding these restrictive data limits continues to highlight the undue burden placed on local households. I am currently compiling the experiences shared here to prepare a formal submission for the regional management team.

The momentum behind this request for reasonable bandwidth policies has grown significantly. It is clear that many households are feeling the strain of these outdated limitations. Your collective commitment to this cause is driving the conversation forward.

60gb is a joke in 2015. netflix uses that in a few days. stop charging us for the 90s era.

We get no other options in this area so they just do whatever they want with the prices. fix it.
