Whereas coal-burning power plants are the largest source of global warming pollution in the world;
And whereas an estimated 150 new conventional coal-burning plants are currently being planned in the U.S., each with an operating life expectancy of 50 years or more;
And whereas almost 800 new coal plants are planned or under construction in China and India
I am currently drafting a formal letter to the regulatory commission to demand a transparent review process for all pending permits. This petition provides the necessary documentation to demonstrate widespread opposition during our upcoming briefing with key policy researchers.

Enough with the coal. My kids deserve to have clean air to breathe. We need to focus on solar and wind already.
