From what I’ve seen this past season, mike would be a great coach and mentor for these young men. It’s not just about wins and losses, it’s about learning the game and having fun. It is also about having a great high school experience to look back on in the future. I know mike could bring what is desperately needed to this program.
Mike is an awesome coach/person who is very dedicated to coaching basketball. He has been my son's trainer and has been able to bring out the best in my son. I highly recommend him as a coach and whoever passes him up would be at a loss. Thanks for all you do coach Mike! "Shock the body"!
He’s a great mentor and loves the sport. He motivates the kids with positive feedback without breaking them down. Being a parent from another Del Rio League, the thought of Mike taking the Head Coach position makes me think we have a new competitor to look out for next season. Good luck & I hope the job is yours Mike!! You deserve it.
Mike is a fine example on what a Varisty coach should be. He has a great personality, good listener n has the players best interest at heart. We had him for r asst. coach n wished we could have played for him for another year. Hope he gets the job he will do wonders for the varsity team.

Coach Mike was my coach growing up & still is my coach when I need help in life. I was a former basketball player at Whittier high school for 3 years and also an alumni. I know coach Mike Hernandez will fit best at whittier.
