We are approaching one hundred signatures and need to hit this milestone before we present our demands. Text three neighbors right now and tell them to sign this petition to keep our students safe.

As a mother I think we should take precaution for the kids safety. I wouldn’t want any of these kids to get this horrible virus. We are already closing down college classes so why won’t we do the same for our grade school and high school kids.
Schools all around are being closed to protect the health of student. We need to do the same immediately. The students are young and healthy and be able to survive, but some of them live with grandparents and older guardians, we need to protect our society as a whole.
I go to Spotswood High School and I know how delicate my immune system is. I have a family with older and younger people that if I was potentially affected, they would be at risk. It is safest to let school become online and reduce the spread of infection.
I am scared for the safety of all the students at RCPS due to students traveling for vacation and other things then bringing the virus back to school.
I don’t like the idea of students coming to a contaminated school. I don’t know about you but the thought that other countries are being quarantined but yet a SCHOOL won’t close when this sickness is spreading doesn’t make sense to me.
Please close schools for the sake of sickness. The only way to help prevent it from spreading is staying home.

There’s a presumptive case in Harrisonburg. We should be taking the necessary precautions to insure safety of our students, families, and citizens.
