Community spirit, it could be cleared without the involvement of big contracting firms and their associated costs/profit margins. This needn't be refused or dismisses due to financial constraints or tendering processes. If it were cleared and made accessible to the general public then it would encourage people to use the river and the local amenities. Bring vital business to the area.

I live by the Sailing Club upriver hard and see the problems created by its loked gate. I fully support this proposal.
I'd like to use the slipway again as I did when I was a lad
Save this slipway please.
This would would add another significant benefit to the facilities available to residents and visitors.
