Governor Daniels,

As an Indiana tax-payer and voter, I condemn the actions of legislators who voted in favor of amended HB1242, a bill that would change election law in the middle of the game.

There is a law in place to deal with people caught cheating in elections. Let it stand and let those who violated it be held accountable.

Changing the law after an election and applying it retro-actively to change the outcome disenfranchises voters. How can we have faith in an electoral system when legislators are allowed to change laws after the fact?

Don’t let that happen to Indiana voters. If HB 1242 comes to your desk, veto it and restore voter confidence in the electoral process.
