With this being such a controversial issue as Daylight Savings Time in Indiana, this issue needs to be settled by the people instead of the representives of the people. Representives can be influenced by the others, such as the Governor. The people, given the chance, will not be swayed by this one person. This is goal and foundation of Democracy. We, the people want to decide. This topic needs to be decided by all instead of few.
By signing this petition, you are in favor for a referendum on the issue of Daylight Savings Time. You are stating that you are a resident of Indiana, and you wish to take Democracy into your own hands.
The momentum behind this push proves that Hoosiers are done watching the Governor call the shots on our clocks. The politicians in the Statehouse can no longer pretend we are indifferent while they gamble with our time.

My husband works construction and this time change messes up his whole schedule. The governor needs to listen to the people for once instead of big business.
