The school administration just confirmed that our class president will give the speech and read the names at graduation. I am honestly stunned that this worked out and I genuinely believe this belongs to all of you who stepped up to speak out. Let us just make sure we enjoy …
Do you think that the class president should be able to give a speech and read off names as students receive their diplomas at graduation? If NOT, sign this petition that will be sent to the school administration and school board to argue our case. Thank you!
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many of you stepped up to support this idea. It never crossed my mind when I started this that so many people felt the same way. You all have created a momentum that actually gives me hope for a change at our graduation.

Graduation is for everyone, not just one person to show off. Why change the traditions now? Keep it the way it was.

this is total favoritism. why does she get to be the center of attention just because of who her mom is? let the valedictorian handle it like every other year.

Just a funny coincidence that the school wants the class president aka the counselor's daughter to not only speak at graduation but also read our names off...bunch of crap.

Well, all y'all who signed this can listen here.
A. Nothing about this ceremony involving the valedictorian is effected
B. The class president was elected fair and square and has every right to speak and her mom being the daughter of someone on the administration has absolutely nothing to do with this at all
C. The principal asked the class president to speak, not class president asking principal
D. If you guys care so much about, why don't you get off you lazy butts and talk to the person who made the decision in person. Maybe that would be more effective then some stupid online petition
E. Stop. This is effecting the class president more than you think, so think about it please.
Thank you.

Not fair to have someone who didn't get elected fairly to have special privileges at one of the most important days of high school

She should not speak just because her mom is part of the administration, the valedictorian should speak as always.
