This is purely based on fairness and justice. I quote a person very, very close to Mirwais: "We trust you [graduation committee], we will leave decision making to you [graduation committee] about graduation stuff." We, the graduation committee, feel personally offended and disrespected that we were not consulted in voting on a class speaker. Therefore, we kindly and respectfully ask you, Mirwais, to withdraw your speech from the graduation ceremony. All in agreement, please sign the petition.
The committee is moving forward with a formal letter to the administration based on the concerns raised here. Post this link on your personal social media pages today to keep the pressure on. Send your own message to the faculty advisor demanding transparency about this selection process.
