Keeping the runways strictly to the occasional airplane would be a poor decision. We would love the ability to use it in the future and will gladly pay rent to do so. I know myself and many others are already excited for Drift camp 2018 and it wouldn't be the same without the runway usage. It's an option that brings in more drivers from farther reaches that normally wouldn't make the trip for a simple concrete pad. More drivers bring in more revenue, not only for us, But for all of Claresholm. We have drivers come from all over Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Not only do they drive at RMDC. They buy fuel, they buy food, and they use the motels in the town of Claresholm. We want to grow, we want the town of Claresholm to grow economically, and the decision to limit usage to only planes would impact both the town and RMDC in a negative way.

The grind is heavy and the path forward remains steep. If we hit the hundred mark before I deliver this to the MD of Willow Creek it will prove that we are not going away.

I’ve been attending RMDC events since they began, and using the airport for special events gives much more reason for drivers to travel from out of town and attend. We always fuel up and go for food in town during and after the events.
I've been to rmdc three times last year. It is a fun venue, but very limited. Having the occasional use of the airstrip would massively increase the appeal. Every time I go to rmdc, I buy fuel, lunch, and second lunch. Every time I went last year, I saw more spectators.
All the local tracks where I lived closed down so not only did we lose chances to practice motorsports safely and help build the local economy, there has been a rise in street racing deaths. Keep it open, keep the roads safe.
My wife and I have been to the events there several times! We drive almost 4 hours to watch and enjoy the drifting, the cars and the people it attracts. It would be a shame to loose this as it’s hreat fun for all ages and is sport that is growing and growing around North America.
I agree but it’s not just about what we bring to the community as a car club it’s all the other organizations who come and us the airport for drivers training. It will be a hug loss to the community of Claresholm if they can no longer come and use the airport.

The drift club is an asset to claresholm. Their events bring in people fron all over into our community. To restrict growth of a sport/event in the community due to the few planes that use the airport would be a HUGE economic setback.
