This parking debacle has cost the businesses dearly. People do not have time to shop and eat so somebody loses out. It's usually the small business

What a disservice to every merchant, and every employee. Most of these mom and pop businesses cannot afford to pay employees a great wage. Paid for parking will negatively affect these employees. People like to meander around golden, this takes time to visit these small shops. Golden will once again become a ghost town.

Free parking is a necessity. If parking is a problem (which it is) stop building more housing downtown, stop pandering to tourism and stop trying to offload the problem on the citizens and employees of Golden.

I have lived in Golden all of my 58 years and I don't think we as tax payers should have to pay for what we already have paid for.

Being a CO/Golden native, and having worked downtown all of my working career, feee parking is so important.

It seems to me we have plenty of parking waiting at stop lights on the congested roads that run through Golden.

Why are we letting out of state people run our cities? If they did so well in their towns why in the hell are they in ours? So they can ruin them and leave? We need to stop thinking about money and start thinking about the long term. Failing to prepare for our future...is preparing to fail our future generations.

Just got the rules for parking and we will not be allowed to park behind our office. Thank you for trying to push us out of town.

The proposal is to address mines inappropriate parking. Employees are protected and free. Residents are addressed fairly. Visitors are free for first two hours. I was very impressed with the fairness of the proposal as a resident and golden business owner. Let's check out the facts.

I live right in the heart of Golden. Paid parking unfairly penalizes locals and the people who visit. Enforce the current parking rules. Otherwise leave it as is.

Free parking has helped bolster the tourism boom in golden over the years. Golden has a reputation for being a laid back mountain(like) town, great for day trips. Our parks and recreation have been easily accessible to people who wouldn't otherwise be able to experience them. Golden is a relatively wealthy municipality who budgets well. There is no reason to charge for parking.

Paid parkIng will hurt locals and small businesses. the real problem is CSM parking. we can either address that by making all of us pay or by pressuring them to address the issue.
