Last year, the park in our neighborhood was not watered during the summer at all, which, in turn, made the grass turn completely dry, brittle, and extremely flammable. We understand that the city needs to save money somewhere, but we do not find it acceptable to create an extreme fire hazard - especially where our children/families/dogs/cats go to play. In the flick of a cigarette, or a match, that park would burst into flames in a matter of seconds! Would you like to have your children put at such a high risk, just by going to your local park?! We bet the answer is, "No." We don't ask that the park is watered weekly, but every other week or even once every 3 weeks would reduce that risk.
