totally agree!! make NO sense to discharge individuals into homelessness! its cruel and uncaring.
I have experienced homelessness and know how it feels to finally get a place to call home. I feel like everyone should have that security
I am committed in supporting this petition. I see homeless vets (men and women with children) on the streets and sometimes just hanging around the VA. I support this cause --Discharge NO ONE into HOMELESSNESS. I am there for my fellow women veterans.
I'm homeless and I'm tired of being treated like something less than a human being by police and society...
The idea of a hospital discharging a homeless person in the early mornings hours when no buses are running and they would have no money anyway.
Closing institutions was the cruelest act against the mentally ill that could have been done. It's served a Republican president well in the 1980s as well as the uninformed liberals who saw the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest. The true remedy would have been to improve institutions, not abandon the vulnerable to the streets cuz if they would responsibly use services.
Let create Local, State, and National strategies to ensure all Americans have a home, help them join the Military and Peace Corps.

I was homeless for a month and God provided what I needed. Now I'm helping a friend who is recently homeless -- it is hard to find any type of housing with the "proper" paperwork.
