If the ties are needed in the Chicago area, why choose the Odon area for the facility. Makes no sense, put the plant in that area, save yourselves lots of cost.

This is right down the road from where I did most of my growing up.. I have many friends and family that still live in this area an don't see how it could benefit any of them so with that being said I must say.. HELL NO!!

I strongly oppose the proposed rezoning of land from agricultural to industrial use. This is the first step to unwanted manufacturing of creosote treated railroad ties, increased truck and rail traffic, environmental issues, loss of property value and the negative impact list goes on and on. This facility does not belong in populated areas.

We do not need this in our area due to pollution, toxins & hazards. The increased traffic on the railroad tracks & highways for this area would be to dangerous for a small community where half of our traffic are horses, buggies & carriages! The railroad crossings in Odon are not equipped to handle large scale traffic as well. Several homes are less than 10 feet from the tracks; what a devastation if there was a spill or wreck on the tracks or at the plant.

Do not need this plant right across the road from my grandchildren. Go build it where no one lives.

There is no benefit to the community for this type of facility. Only problems will arise from this.

We do not need this in our community. Don't let the Odon/Farlen area be turned into Somerville, TX. Read the article TOXIC TOWN: CANCER AND BIRTH DEFECTS IN SOMERVILLE, TX. This is not good for anyone in Daviess County.

Very dangerous plant. Also the train traffic which will all go through Odon and the truck traffic are very dangerous as well.

This was my home for many years and still the home of my family. This plant is a wrong use of this land.! The environmental inpack of a business of this type will unquestionably forever change the the area for those whose life is centerd around the peaceful and quiet country life they built there life's around. Please reconsider this decision and the consequences this decision will make on all the residents who call this place home.

Even without the danger of spills or accidents, this would be a huge nuisance to anyone who has to live nearby.
