I oppose rezoning of the Virginia Oaks Residential Planned Community. Rezoning will lead to unwanted development in the community that will lower property value.
ive been talking to neighbors all week and the concern about our property values is getting louder. im currently drafting a letter to the planning board to make sure they see these signatures before the next public hearing.

i honestly cant believe how fast this is growing. seeing so many people speak up for our neighborhood really shows that we arent going to just sit back and let this happen.

I oppose the sale of the front property as well. All south bound traffic would need to use Va. Oaks Drive to gain access, period.

Strongly against assisting the current golf course owners. Resining the property gives them more options, none of which are supportive of Va Oaks

We should not junk up the entrance with businesses. Why would we reward the golf course owners? Why would we build an olympic size swimming pool at Great expense so that the vast minority could watch their kids swim in it seven times a year.

No need to sell an asset to buy a liability. We need to fix the existing pool club house to meet our need at much lower cost using our saving. That won’t increase our hoa dues. Value of our home won’t go down as pictured by the committee. No funeral home won’t get on the golf clubhouse if we oppose on the county hearing for rezoning.

We need to keep the land we have. Selling portions of it will, most likely, ruin this community.

I would like for VA Oaks HOA to acquire the clubhouse and surrounding land for our use, but I don't understand the need for rezoning and I am not comfortable with the prospect of the GC Owners buying the land at the front of our neighborhood. They (knowingly & deliberately) burned us with the purchase of the GC with no intention of truly revitalizing it.

Sue the Zoning Office to enforce current zoning using Lewis v Christian (1903) Do not buy at 1.75M It's outrageous!
