Dear Students,

A student concern that has been brought to my attention is a desire for Dr. Dryer to have a core faculty position. This comes at at time when core faculty members in the PsyD program at CIIS have announced upcoming retirements.

Currently, Dr. Dryer has an adjunct teaching position and works at CIIS part time. This prevents him from holding a full time position elsewhere and if not provided a full time core faculty position at CIIS then he may have to step down completely.

Many of you have had a positive experience in Dr. Dryer's Research and Statistics Classes and developed under his pedagogy. If you would like to show your support for Dr. Dryer for a core faculty position in the PsyD program at CIIS please add your signature to this petition.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Warm regards,

Your Fellow Student

The momentum behind this petition proves how much Dr. Dryer's teaching has impacted our program. Send a text to three friends in your cohort and ask them to sign today. We need to keep this pressure on the administration to secure his position.

I think it is telling that students have organized a petition on behalf of Dr. Dryer, whose research classes were perhaps the most difficult and time-consuming of all the classes we had in three hard years of training. He is a teacher dedicated to his subject and passionate about passing on his interest and knowledge. He would make a valuable addition to the CIIS core faculty.

Dr. Dryer was one of the most passionate and dedicated instructors I had the pleasure of learning from while in the CIIS PsyD program. His values are aligned with those of the school and he expects both rigor and curiosity from his students. Dr. Dryer's energy and skills are a much needed addition to the PsyD department's core faculty.

An international student like me, who had a huge challenge to understand the statistics, survived through the psychometrics and statistics. Now, I have the confidence to understand what are the messages behind the numbers in statistics. This magic has been happening in my academic life only because of Dr. Christopher Dryer. Not only me my cohort, we all feel the light in the darkness of statistics for our academic endeavor. I deeply appreciate his hard work, pertinence and the inspirational way of teaching. I truly appreciate his guidance and hope other students will also have the blessings to learn statistics with ease in future. I strongly wish that PsyD program and CIIS will take the right decision for Dr. Christopher and hope to have him as one of our core faculty.

His Research and Statistics class was the best class I took at CIIS.

Yes! I realize that there are many factors involved with faculty selection (and retention), but I don't think I've signed a petition like this before, or even seen one for that matter - so clearly this guy is doing something right. Personally, I find him to be reasonable, personable, highly intelligent, and an effective teacher. I want this program to be awesome and successful, and from a student's perspective, Christopher Dryer's presence is a big asset.

I think Dr Dryer really knows his stuff, and is exceptionally committed to being the best faculty he can be.
